In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an excellent helper".

These exchanges were published on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets managed to establish his identity by matching the dates, occurrences, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed documents indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A short time before the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in that year.

On the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Johnson and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "They are trying to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think remaining as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have little courage" and noted "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was eventually removed in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the justice department should make public all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly rejected any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
